Barbara Assoon

Barbara Assoon is a Trinidadian actress and journalist. She was born in Trinidad and moved to the United Kingdom in the late 1940s to begin her acting career. She was in the radio soap operas as well then she went on to tv in the 1950s. In 1968 she return to Trinidad to work with Radio Trinidad as a news reporter and program presenter. She is noted for her good English, reading, politeness and etc. She last appeared with Derek Walcott in a stage play in 1990. She is retired and she trains new journalists.
