[edit] Copyright issue

Article is from a .mil site, which is a US military site, which means it is a US government site, which means it is public domain material. Please restore the article.--Looper5920 09:38, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

That may be, but it seems like a strech to say that everything with a .mil (or .gov) source is public domain. Do you have a source for either a Wikipedia or a military policy to that effect? --Art Carlson 09:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
If you attempt to load a photo onto Wikipedia there is a blanket PD copyright for "This is a work of a US Gov't agency". Everything put on the web by the US gov't is public domain. Tha same cannot be said for state or local govt's.--Looper5920 09:57, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. With the "work of the US Gov" tag I'm happy now. --Art Carlson 07:40, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
