  This advertising slogans and images have been labelled racist and colonialist
  by ploitically correct avtivists who argue that it reinforces the old cliché
  of a stupid yet friendly African. However, this point of view disregards the
  history of the brand and the popularity of the French colonial troops in 1915.

Is the "Hispaniola Brands Limited" section to be taken seriously? The website to which it is linked is not even written in proper English. -- Picapica 12:46, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

They have deposed a request for use of the name, but apart from that, nothing more has been done. It is not even sure that they will be allowed to use the name or use the artwork to sell the supposed vodka. --Bob 19:37, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for that. I see that Mr Maslyukov has not returned with any more information . Unless there is any real development soon, I'd propose downgrading the Hispaniola Brands info to a footnote. --Picapica 12:59, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
