Bankole Timothy was the crucial link (unexplained) to Bernt Carlsson's stopover in London en route to New York for the signing (on December 22, 1988) of the Namibia independence agreement at UN headquarters. Because of his London meeting, Carlsson re-booked onto Pan Am Flight 103 which crashed at Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988.
