This is about the sub-clan of Quraish, for the tribe see Banu Tamim.

Banu Taym or Banu Taim' is a sub-clan to the Quraish tribe. It was closely affiliated with the Quraish tribe[citation needed]. They converted to Islam in 8 AH (629630)[citation needed].

They come from Taim ibn Mura.
