Banu Khalid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Banu Khalid were the rulers of the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Banu Khalid were also called "protectors of the Habara eggs." The eggs came from pigeons that were widely hunted.

They ruled the Eastern Province and controlled Nejd for more than three hundred years prior the arrival of the Al-Saud family. Only an internal war civil war tore the trip apart. Ibn Arair, the last Emir of Banu Khalid, died soon after a civil war started between his sons and their uncle and his sons in the early 1800. They also controlled Kuwait for about a century.
