The Banu Jalaf was a family that ruled Huesca and the region called Barbitanya (Barbastro) on the Iberian Peninsula from about 802 to 862, and only Barbitanya from about 862 to 882.

The first ruler was Jalaf Ibn Rashid (802), who reconstructed the old Roman city of Barbastur, modern Barbastro (but then a small village called Midyar). The city castle was the centre of the Muslim domain in the region.

Jalaf died before 862. In this year the government of Huesca was conferred on the Banu Qasi family, and Musa ben Galindo was designated ruler. The son of Jalaf, Ibn Jalaf, then ruled Barbitanya.
