Bantowbol

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bantowbol is a traditional form of music from the Centre and South provinces of Cameroon. It is a combination of bikutsi and bol, a pure traditional southern Cameroonian dance. Bantowbol was created by a young artist named Gilbratar Drakus in the late 1980s. Today, some other young artists are doing in the same rhythm. One of the more prominent is Ovasha Bens, whose new album Espoir (particularly the main song, "Deception") is actually one of the most listened to in Cameroon media.
