Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital

Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital is a Major Metropolitan Acute General Hospital providing 454 beds and caters for approximately 30,000 inpatient separations per year. It is part of the Sydney South West Area Health Service.

The hospital opened in 1996, as a merger of the former Lidcombe Hospital and Bankstown Hospital. It was built on the site of the former Bankstown Hospital, which was later demolished. It became part of the South Western Sydney Area Health Service, which became the Sydney South West Area Health service upon a merger with the Central Sydney Area Health Service in 2005.
