Bangura is located at 24.2250° N 89.4000° E . It has 14201 units of house hold and total area 120.2 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Bangura has a population of 81624. Males constitute are 50.82% of the population, and females 49.18%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 39758. Bangura has an average literacy rate of 26.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
