Bangaeira (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Bangaéra), is a village located approximately 30 km northeast of the island capital of Sao Filipe and southeast of Mosteiros and is on Fogo in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde, it is the second highest village in Cape Verde. Bangaiera are is linked with a road linking with Mosteiros with Chã das Caldeiras as well as Cova Figueira.

The area around Bangaeira contains farmlands within the village, the crater of Chã das Caldeiras is to the west and to the north in which is in the caldeira zone, the Atlantic Ocean can be seen to the northeast. The living standards are in the low range as well as its income, one time, there were no money until the late-20th century. The village is in the island's low class. Every house are built with mud-brick and stone. All of its population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. However, a part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the mid to late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
