Bangaaradha Manushya was a 1970 Indian film. It starred Rajkumar and Bharathi, and ran for over two years at the States Theatre in Bangalore.
When the movie was released in 1970, it was panned by the critics. However, the movie went on to become a massive hit and today is viewed as a milestone in Rajkumar's career.

[edit] The Plot
The plot of Bangaarada Manushya revolves around a city dweller, Rajkumar who comes to visit his ancestral village. On one such visit to his village, he finds that his ancestral house is in disarray, his cousins cannot stand each other and the farm lands are neglected due to water scarcity. Having seen the state of things, he decides to stay in the village to resurrect the life that was not there.
At first, Rajkumar with the help of his uncle, Balakrishna tries to find the water source for the paddy fields. With great difficulty, he manages to dig out well water for the fields. With the field resurrected, Rajkumar tries his hand at commercial crops and succeeds in it. In the meantime, he falls in love with a village belle, Bharathi. His cousins, led by Vajramuni are jealous of Rajkumar's achievement try to undermine him. Rajkumar gets tired of the bad blood and walk out of the household for good. The film was directed by Siddaligaiah and music was composed by G. K. Venkatesh. All the five songs of the movie, Nagu Naguta Nali, Aagadu Endu , Aaha Mysooru Mallige, Baala Bangaara Neenu and Hani Hani Goodidre have became massive hits and never faded away. Template:Endpoiler

Bangaaradha Manushya had tremendous impact on moviegoers. The city youth, inspired by the movie's central theme - returning to ancestral village, left their jobs and came back to their respective villages and took to agriculture. No other movie in the entire Indian film industry had such an impact on the audiences.

The Book Bangaarada Manushya written by A. N. Prahiada Rao, a chronicle work on Dr. Rajkumar was released in July 2005. The book consists 210 pages with 60 different photographs of Dr. Rajkumar.
The book Bangarada Manushya authored by A. N. Prahlada Rao stands out as a reference volume about the history of Kannada film industry in general and about the history of Dr. Rajkumar, in particular, for the life and works of Dr. RajKumar is essentially the other face of the chronology of Kannada film industry.
