Banff World Television Festival

The Banff World Television Festival is a festival in the town of Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. It is among the most important international media events in Canada. The festival is dedicated to television programming and its creation and development. Numerous celebrities, writers, directors, and producers attend the annual event which focuses on discussion, showcasing, and networking. The festival is combined with the Banff World Television Festival.

For its 28th year in 2007, the festival will open on June 10 and continue through June 13. The festival occurs at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

nextMEDIA: The Future of Digital Content is the sister event to The Banff World Television Festival. It is scheduled for June 8 through June 10 and features two days of panels, best practices and case studies, as well as pitching and networking events -- all focusing on the future of digital content.
