Baneberry is a city in Jefferson County, Tennessee, United States. It is part of the Morristown, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 366 at the 2000 census.

Baneberry is located at 36°2′45″N, 83°16′33″W (36.045912, -83.275804)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 366 people, 159 households, and 120 families residing in the city. The population density was 78.1/km² (202.8/mi²). There were 186 housing units at an average density of 39.7/km² (103.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.45% White, 0.27% African American and 0.27% Native American.

There were 159 households out of which 22.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.0% were married couples living together, 1.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.5% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.70.

In the city the population was spread out with 16.7% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 19.4% from 25 to 44, 41.0% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 49 years. For every 100 females there were 111.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $47,188, and the median income for a family was $52,917. Males had a median income of $47,083 versus $24,250 for females. The per capita income for the city was $22,212. About 2.4% of families and 4.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.2% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
