Banaripara is located at 22.7819° N 90.1667° E . It has 26697 units of house hold and total area 134.32 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Banaripara has a population of 143825. Males constitute are 50.67% of the population, and females 49.33%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 70724.
