I have been informed from a very reliable source indeed that some of the information in this article is questionable. For example, "Bamber Boozler" did NOT, I was informed, get his name from Bamber Gascoigne. ACEO 10:40, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Surely any fictional quizzmaster named "Bamber" must be influenced by Gascoigne? It's not exactly a common name, he's the only Bamber I'm aware of and I'm sure the same is true of most people wimbledon andy 11:55, 8 June 2006 (UTC) I have now been informed that the name actually comes from the word "Bamboozle".
