Bambara Primary School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bambara means "BY TREES AND WATER" in a local Aboriginal language hence our school emblem.

This name was adopted by the parents of the foundation students when the school opened in 1978. Primary student enrolment has fluctuated from 247 when the school opened to a peak of 486 in 1983. (Pre Primary numbers were in addition to these numbers.)

Bambara Primary School is located in the suburb of Padbury, which is 20 kilometres north west of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.

Padbury as a suburb developed in the early 1970's and is bordered by four major arterial roads, namely - Whitfords Avenue to the north; Marmion Avenue to the west; Hepburn Avenue to the south and the Mitchell Freeway to the east.
