the Russian School is not ecxlusive to the Bolshoi and Kirov. George Balanchines methods are a subset of the Russian School school and strpngly infulenced by the Italian School in terms of technical expertise and speed / lightness of step. Modern Ballet is not a school of Ballet technique but choreographic style. however this page should refeernce to William Forsythe and his deconstuction of calssical ballet technique with 'improvisation technologies'.
