Balussery (Balisery) is a small but fast developing town area located at the heart of Kozhikode district in Kerala state, south India.

There is a famous temple in this place called "Balussery Kotta - Vettakkorumakan Temple". ( just 2 km from buststand ). Manjapuzha river flows by the side of the Kotta temple.

The government offices are situated in the heart of the town itself. Branches of all the major banks functions here with ATM centers. KSE Board has a 33 KV substation at Manjappalam,a division office/subdivision and a section office here.

Regular bus services are available to Calicut, Thamarassery, Koorachundu, Quilandy Koottalidaetc. KSRTC is also operating services to hilly regions of Balussery like Mankayam and Koorachundu.

Well equipped Cine Centres (Santhosh, Kairali, Sandhya etc.) with mordern facilities, Hotels and Lodge facilities with reasonable cost can be availed within the town circle. All the major Mobile Phone providers have there access point at Balussery.
