Baltimore Rockets

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Baltimore Rockets were an exhibition basketball team that regularly lost kayfabe games to the Harlem Globetrotters starting in 1971. The Rockets never won, since they only served to act as "stooges" for the Globetrotters. They had no real connection to Baltimore.

The team was owned by Louis Klotz and based in Margate, New Jersey. Its name refers to the NBA's original Baltimore Bullets, which had Klotz as a player during the 1947-48 season.
