Balod is a town and a nagar palika in Durg district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India.Balod is 44 km from Dhamtari and 58 km from Durg.Balod has one college,one court,one CHC ( Community Health Center ),and a jail.Medical facilities are good in Balod.There are 2 Primary Heallth center under CHC Balod jaggannathpur sankara and piperchedi.In CHC present Block Medical Offier is Dr Smt S Claudius.There are two Dams nearby Tandula and Aadmabaad.there is a mine nearby that is DalliRajhara Which is connected by rail and bus.
