Ibacus peronii Leach, 1815 |
The Balmain bug, Ibacus peronii, is a type of slipper lobster. It is found at depths of 20–500 m off the coast of Australia from Southport in Queensland to Geraldton in Western Australia, and off the coast of New Zealand [1]. It is named after Balmain, New South Wales, and is commonly sold in fish markets in the Sydney area [1].
