Ballygar (Irish: Béal Átha Ghártha) is a city in County Galway, Ireland. It is 73 miles from Roscommon town.
It was the home of famed Galway footballer, Pat McDonagh, the only Connacht man to win four All-Ireland Senior Football medals.
