The Ball Brothers refers to Frank Ball (1857-1943), Edmund Ball (1855-1925), Lucius L. Ball (1850-1932), William C. Ball (1852-1921) and George A. Ball (1862-1955). They were the founders of the Ball Corporation and greatly improved the city of Muncie, Indiana through their philanthropy and business. They were also instrumental in the creation of Ball State University, and Ball Memorial Hospital, which is named after them.
