Balanops is a genus of flowering plants. The nine species are trees or shrubs, found in New Caledonia, Fiji and northern Queensland.
The genus by itself constitutes the family Balanopaceae (formerly the spelling Balanopsidaceae was also used). The genus is a relatively poorly known, and was sometimes assigned its own order, as in the Engler system.
