Anyone know the derivation of the nickname "Bakkies"? I gather that "bakkie" is the South African term for what Australians would call a "ute" or Americans would call a "pickup truck". —Stormie 13:58, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Ja, when he was a kid his legs were Bak meaning bent, so the name stuck. 'Bakkie' does mean Ute, or pick up or whatever, but thats not where his name comes from
