Bakesale is a simple shopping cart web application, made with the MVC web framework CakePHP. Its goals include simplicity and extensibility. For its client-side scripting, it uses the JQuery JavaScript library, both for visual effects and AJAX. Using the Extensions facility, the end-developer can simply add new functionality to BakeSale. The default theme uses semantic XHTML with a CSS-based layout.
