Bairnsdale Station is a railway station on the Bairnsdale line in Victoria, Australia.

It is the final station on the Gippsland line in recent years. The line continued through to Orbost until this section was closed in the mid 1980s. Passenger services to Bairnsdale were cut beyond Sale after this time and for a few years even Bairnsdale freight was curtailed. Passenger service was restored in 2004 with two daily return services running to Bairnsdale from Melbourne. A five day a week freight train hauling logs from Bairnsdale to North Geelong Yard now operates from a siding on the up (Melbourne) side of Bairnsdale station, and typically leaves around 1600 hours.

There are many coach connections from Bairnsdale. Most connections are for services running east into NSW but a noted smaller connecting service is the 5 days a week service north to the small mountain town of Omeo.

There are plans to connect Bairnsdale to Lakes Entrance by rail. This will create growth in the area and promote tourism. It is planned for the line to take up the old rail route to Nicholson then a new route will be investigated to go through Johnsonville and Swan Reach. There will be a total of 4 new stations built if this is passed. Nicholson, Johnsonville, Swan Reach and Lakes Entrance. A Sale - Lakes Entrance shuttle is planned as well as Melbourne - Lakes Entrance services.
