Baillieu is the name of a prominent family of Belgian descent based in Victoria, Australia. William Baillieu is considered to be the founder of the dynasty. The title of Baron Baillieu was created in 1953 for Sir Clive Latham Baillieu, William Baillieu's son. Another notable member of the family is Ted Baillieu, the current leader of the Liberal Party in Victoria.
