[edit] Merge

I suggest merging the pictures and info on all these subpages onto this page. It seems a little unorganized and sporadic right now. Cuñado - Talk 22:22, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Good idea. I've started this process. I haven't redirect the pages as of yet until we decide if this is something that we definitely want to do. Furthermore, I've left "main" links for some of the sections. This is a little arbitrary (for example, I have put a "main" link for the Seat of the International Teaching Centre, but not for 10 Haparsim Street); I've left the "main" links for the ones I think can grow in the future, but I'm not sure the "main links" are necessarily needed for most of them. I'm not even sure exactly where to talk about this, so here goes... I want to propose that we get all these Baha'i World Centre and pilgrimage related articles into three main categories.
There are a few ambiguous pages like The Arc (Bahá'í) which might be hard to categorize, but I think with re-writes all these subpages which have a lot of repeated information, and usually not more than 2 paragraphs, can be condensed into these 3 articles. It will be much more organized and less sporadic.
Any thoughts? Cuñado - Talk 23:28, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
I agree. -- Jeff3000 19:25, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Just to mention something I stated on another page. I agree with your work on the World Centre buildings, this is a good form of consolidation. On the other hand, it is much simpler to click on a link to find information immediately than to scroll down a very big page and get lost in it. We might want to consider this as well. Linking between pages will still work fine. For example, instead of typing [[Eastern Pilgrim House]], you can instead type [[Bahá'í World Centre buildings#Eastern Pilgrim House|Eastern Pilgrim House]], and it link directly to the section on this page.
I think the consolidation is much better. It seemed very chaotic before, and now it's a bit more clear to read through the page, instead of clicking on several links. Cuñado - Talk 06:27, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Capitilization

The word shrine should not be captilized. Only when it is a proper noun, such as the Shrine of the Bab, is it capitilized. I'm changing it back. Baha'is generally like to capitilize a lot of stuff, and that is fine, but for a non-Baha'i site, we have to follow general conventions. [edit] Redirect

I would like to redirect all the subpages on this page. I think we should keep The Arc, the Shrine of the Bab, and the Shrine of Baha'u'llah as separate main pages, but nothing else can be expanded on much.

How does that sound? I don't want to do too much without approval. Cuñado - Talk 07:24, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

I agree and I'll start the process, but I think the Terraces should also be its own page. -- Jeff3000 14:25, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
I've done most of it (I think), but I've also left the Mansion of Bahjí as it's own article, since so many articles link to it as Bahjí. -- Jeff3000 16:05, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
