Baharlu

The Bahārlu, also spelled Baharloo, Baharlooe, are an Iranian ethnic group of Fars (Pars), Kerman, Azarbaijan and Khorasan. All of which are provinces in Iran. The mother tongue of most Baharlus is Persian, however a number of Baharlus have Turkic as mother tongue.

The Baharlu was one of the Qezelbash tribes. Many Baharlus live in the district of Darab, home to the army of Darius the great. There are also a number of Baharlus which in the 14th century settled down in areas around Shahrekord in Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, they got heavily mixed with the Bakhtiaris and Qashqais.
