From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bahamian Americans are citizens or residents of the United States of Bahamian ancestry. The 2000 U.S. census counted 31,984 people of Bahamian ancestry. Most (about 21,000) live in Miami, Florida, with the Bahamian community centered in Coconut Grove. There is also a growing Bahamian-American population in Atlanta, Georgia, evident from the recent opening of an honorary consulate in the Georgian capital.
