Bahadurabad

Bahadurabad (Urdu: بہادرآباد) (Officially known as Bahadur Yar Jang Co-operative Housing Society) is a neighborhood of Gulshan Town, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is located in the Civic Centre zone in the Gulshan Town. The neighborhood was originally inhabited mainly relatively well-off Urdu-speaking migrants from Hyderabad Deccan. Bahadurabad is named after Bahadur Yar Jang, a Muslim nationalist from Hyderabad Deccan. There are several ethnic groups in Bahadurabad including Urdu speakers, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochs, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis. Over 98% of the population is Muslim.Bahadurabad also consist of different societies such as B.M.C.H.S, Sharfabad, K.M.C.H.S, Dhoraji etc.
