Talk:Bad Oeynhausen

[edit] A30
Does anyone know why, very strangely, the A30 autobahn heads straight into the town rather than going around it to meet up with the A2? This question bugs me every time I (and all the trucks) have to go that way. The highways around Bad Oeynhausen seem to be a pretty unique solution for Germany. Surely it's not a lack of money for building a bypass, but then what is the reason? Do the inhabitants want all the trucks? Also, then there's that strange little 3km long autobahn just to the east of the town that heads for 1km in the direction of Vlotho – what is going on with that? Is it unfinished? Did the planners change their minds? Anyway, I'm hoping that maybe someone who lives in town might be able to shed light on the issue. Deuar 15:16, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
