Bad News Brown (Bad News, BNB for short) (May 8, 1977) was born Paul Joseph Frappier in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He is a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based rapper and harmonicist.

Orphaned at birth in Haiti, Bad News Brown was quickly adopted by a Montreal family and moved to Canada, where he was raised. Eager to rediscover those sharing the same cultural roots, BNB, young and determined, left his home during his teenage years and became exposed to all the facets of street life and its cultural manifestations such as Hip Hop and rap music. BNB quickly discovered the harmonica as a new original voice for the masses, generating unanimous reactions by all those listening.

As a proficient harmonica player, Bad News Brown developed new ways of playing and expressing himself via his instrument, generating new unexplored sounds, riffs and melodies. He incorporates multiple styles within his music such as blues, reggae, drum & bass, techno and hip-hop with a clear vision revolving around the renaissance of blues. His writing, compositions and performances have revealed the screaming sensitivity of his life experiences, main source of inspiration.

As a popular street based artist, Bad News Brown's unique style and charismatic persona has made him a mandatory act, opening regularly for some of the most popular names in the industry such as (50 Cent, Kanye West, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Tom Cochran, Kenny G, Nas, De la Soul, Juelz Santana, Ciara, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Lil Jon, The Game, Jadakiss, Bobby Valentino, Kevin Little, Talib Kweli, Common, and French acts like IAM, Booba, Sinik, Psy4. He even performed live on stage with Nas ("Bridging the Gap") at the Montreal Olympic Stadium in 2005, as well as at the Montreal Francofolies in 2003 with Hollywood actor / guitar player, Tcheky Karyo. Subway stations, nightclubs, bars, concert halls, universities, festivals have heard the sweet melodies of his precious metallic instrument.

Montreal's most popular rappers have also featured Bad News Brown on their respective albums. Sans Pression, VAI, Stratege & Cobna, Liquid, Resistance, Dirty Taz, have had the chance to list BNB in their track list.

In 2004, Bad News Brown established his own label / production house Round Da Clock Entertainment to ensure that his authentic sound would go unaltered and his vision and business endeavors would be implemented effectively. Bad News Brown is currently in studio recording his debut album scheduled to drop early 2007.
