The Bad Boy Heavy Muscle Truck is a commercialized military vehicle twice the weight of a Hummer. Produced by Homeland Defense Vehicles, a Texas-based company, the truck is part of the SUV-craze combined with playing on people's fears of a terrorist attack. It can also be viewed as a status symbol, with the cost being between 225,000 and 750,000 dollars (compared to around 120,000 dollars base price for the Hummer H1). Options include bullet proof glass, a safe, GPS, and protection from WMD through an overpressurized cab. The company expects to sell 50 such trucks in the first year.
