[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia!
Hello, and Welcome to the Wikipedia, Baconpatroller! Thanks for the copy edit over on the Chiropractic article. Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:
- Take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial and Manual of Style.
- When you have time, please peruse The five pillars of Wikipedia, and Assume good faith, but keep in mind the unique style you brought to the Wiki!
- Always be mindful of striving for NPOV, be respectful of others' POV, and remember your perspective on the meaning of neutrality is invaluable!
- If you need any help, post your question at the Help Desk.
- Explore, be bold in editing, and, above all else, have fun!
And some odds and ends: Boilerplate text, Brilliant prose, Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Utilities, Verifiability, Village pump, and Wikiquette; also, you can sign your name on any page by typing four tildes: ~~~~.
Best of luck, Baconpatroller, and most importantly, have fun! Ombudsman 06:32, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] More ICBC
(Cross-posted at Talk:Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) Per the recommendations of Fullstop, I have edited the article as follows:
- Removed "mandatory" from introduction, since the article already twice states that the basic insurance is universally required to be purchased.
- Moved the last paragraph of Controversy to the end of the introduction.
- Altered the controversy section to remove the long paragraph and put the items into point form. Removed anti-ICBC POV language and uncited claims, and edited for cocision and clarity.
- Removed duplicate link from External links
I trust we don't get into a revert war and everyone is happy. If not, can we try and hammer out a consensus on the talk page rather than revert ad infinitum? Thanks! Fishhead64 21:40, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Proper references
Hey there, this is a friendly suggestion in regards to this edit. Please try to correctly add references to articles, especially when Cite.php is already being used. See my latest edit to the article as an example of how it should have been done. Thanks! --Cyde Weys 02:33, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
