[edit] Subcategory
Can you help me make a subcategory. John R G 06:25, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
I think I have it figured out Thanks John R G 07:23, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm glad you figured it out. However, if you need further help, you may be able to find more information about creating subcategories here. In any event, let me know if I can be of help in the future. -- backburner001 18:47, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for letting me know that. --malapati 03:09, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. -- backburner001 03:13, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 01:18, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cannabis
I didn't mean to step over your edits, but edits by 207.200.116.134 (talk • contribs) were not cited, and a Google search turns up nothing. —Viriditas | Talk 03:57, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- That's okay. You aren't stepping over my edits. I marked those edits because I wanted them to be verified. Since you researched the reference further, I don't object to removing the info. Perhaps you can make a note on the contributing user's talk page to see where the information was obtained from (if anywhere)? In any event, thanks for the notice. -- backburner001 04:01, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Done. —Viriditas | Talk 04:02, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Looks good. You're quick too. Good job. -- backburner001 04:04, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- I should have noticed the talk page. According to User talk:207.200.116.134, the user has a prior history of vandalizing Cannabis (drug). —Viriditas | Talk 04:05, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- I should've noticed as well. We can continue to monitor the page for edits by the same user and respond to any clear vandalism attempts that may arise by posting the appropriate warnings and requesting admin intervention (when needed). -- backburner001 04:18, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Feces
Oh, sorry ... I planned to remove vandalism ("For jimbo Wales, feces can provide insight to an animal's diet") - but probably due to an edit conflict (user Stollery [1] and I edited at the same time [2]) I hit the wrong version. CoYep 21:10, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, okay. An honest mistake. Happy editing. -- backburner001 17:28, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandal blocked
Turns out you're still on my watchlist from our earlier discussions... User:64.238.154.170 has been blocked for repeat vandalism of this and your user page. RadioKirk talk to me 23:58, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks again, RadioKirk. Your admin intervention and Bachrach44's further intervention is very much appreciated. -- backburner001 17:35, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :) RadioKirk talk to me 18:16, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Footnotes
Hi, I have reformated Haddow to fit the others. You can see how I did it. You have to mention the ref in full the first time you use it it the text: Emergency management. --rxnd ( t | € | c ) 18:13, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. I thought I did that when I previewed the page. In any event, I'll stick to this format now and I'll let you know if any further problems arise. -- backburner001 22:05, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merci beaucoup!
Thank you, Backburner001/Archive02! Thank you for voting for my recent RfA, which passed (to my extreme surprise and shock) with a total tally of 66/15/2. For that, I would like to thank you and offer a helping hand in any admin-related tasks that may be required -- it's as simple as leaving a message on my talkpage. Thanks again! -→Buchanan-Hermit™/!? 22:34, 23 May 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] A haiku of thanks
- Thanks for your support
- In my RfA, which passed!
- Wise I'll try to be.
Your support comment made me smile, I'm glad that you find the disambiguating edit summaries useful! Thanks again for your support, and I'm honored that you found my answers articulate.

[edit] Unreferenced
Hi. You added {{unreferenced}} to BAE Systems Land and Armaments. I have removed it because there are references, in the Reference section. If there is something in particular you think needs referenced please add {{fact}} or let me know and I'll add the necessary reference. Thank you. Mark83 20:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for the message. -- backburner001 15:12, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Importance: Kids on the Street
The Kids on the Street article you flagged with the importance tag is part of a larger body of works known as the Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums. Many albums lack importance on their own, but are significant in the bigger picture. The article in question is a studio album by a notable artist, which qualifies it for existance under this project. Any discussion to the importance of this type of article in general should be directed to the project talk page. UnhandledException 20:36, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you for directing me to the proper WikiProject. I'll post any future comments I may have there. -- backburner001 15:13, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: My own editor review, if you're interested
You're quite welcome. :) RadioKirk talk to me 16:10, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nick Nemeth
Can you please stop adding another citation needed link to his page, if you actually looked at the citation that is put at the end of the paragraph you will clearly see that paragraph in the article. therefore there doesnt need to be two citations, when the one that is put at the end of the paragraph states both. Lil crazy thing 20:46, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please forgive the butt-in, but Lil crazy thing is correct. If all points within a paragraph, or even a short, connected series of paragraphs (see Ike Altgens, a featured article) use the same source, it's acceptable if not proper to place the footnote at the conclusion to avoid clutter. Hope this helps :) RadioKirk talk to me 20:56, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please accept my apology for not looking at the citation itself to check for this. It appeared to me that the template was just being removed without justification, which clearly isn't the case. I'm still familiarizing myself with the nuances involved with citation on Wikipedia and I'll try to pay more attention such details in the future. -- backburner001 15:17, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reviews
I am in the final sprint of writing my dissertation and I will be in a wiki-hiatus until the end of the summer. I would have liked to improve the emergency management article a bit more before the peer review, but it will nevertheless be interesting to get some external feedback. Once I am able to spend more time on Wiki, I will concentrate on the articles on disaster, natural disaster, and man-made disaster. They are all in need of attention.
I wrote a brief editor review for you. Hope that it is OK! I only had a couple of minutes to research your edits. --rxnd ( t | € | c ) 09:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- I probably should have consulted you before initiating a peer review on the emergency management article. But, I decided to start the process on the assumption that you would be busy with your dissertation for a while and that you had vastly improved the article anyway. I hope this isn't a problem.
- Thanks for your review. It was very much appreciated. I suppose the emphasis on citation in my high school and collegiate education really stuck. :) I'll try my best to take your review into account in the future as I continue to contribute to the encyclopedia. -- backburner001 13:24, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mary Cassatt
Why did you remove this link from the Mary Cassatt article? -- backburner001 14:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Because it is linkspam [3]. IrishGuy talk 16:45, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- How does a profile of a person qualify as linkspam? -- backburner001 17:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

- Because if you look at the edits, all they are is adding links to the same site from damn near every single female artist article. I have warned the user a couple of times, and every morning the user puts them back in. IrishGuy talk 17:56, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Pardon my persistence, but if I look at which edits? Edits to the same article or a different one? -- backburner001 18:07, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
