Editing Guidelines |
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

The Beatles To-do: You can HELP!:
As the project is currently just starting, our more experienced editors are working on the project infrastructure, classifying articles, and listing/assessing red links. Your assistance is welcome. If you would prefer to just edit - and why wouldn't you? - we have a choice selection of red links to turn blue and articles to clean! Now let's get busy.
Full list & instructions.
- Lists to complete:
- Wanted Pics/Graphics: Mal Evans, Flying (song), Astrid Kirchherr, Jimmy Nicol, Cynthia Powell, Alistair Taylor, Ivan Vaughan, Tittenhurst Park, Tony Barrow. We need a better open-licenced photo for the project, to replace the Abbey Road crossing. If you provide a photo, please remove the ReqPhoto tag from the article's talk page and remove the article from this list.
- Project Discussions: The Beatles history, Individual songs vs longer album articles, Beatle wives, Merge/split proposals
- Project: Add {{WPBeatles}} to the talk pages of all Beatles-related articles. Send a newsletter to members, canvas for new members, and coordinate tasks. Enter articles classed as stubs into this list (under To Expand) and also list articles needing cleaning and other work here.
If you complete one of these tasks, please remove it from the list and add your achievement to the project log.

[edit] Overall An Outstanding Art Film
- There was a very outstanding dramatic acting in this film. Stephen Dorff was at his very best. He has proved himself again and again as a very outstanding character actor. Sheryl Lee also had an outstanding performance in the film. Ian Hart did an awesome portrayal of John Lennon he became Lennon literally.
- The soundtrack showed the excitement produced by The Beatles in those early night club years. However, the vocals for the parts of John and Paul were not anywhere near what they should've been. Why they didn't hire the music group from the United States, "1964", I have no earthly idea. I've heard these guys in person and even met them. They could've pulled it off and sounded just like the original fabs. The music on right on, but some of the vocals were not with it at all.
- I bought and read the book "Shout" many years ago and this movie followed that very closely. I really loved the incident, which actually did happen, when the cops arrested the guys and Paul was on the toilet.
- This film gives a very good look at what it was like in Hamburg and Liverpool in the early 1960's. The unleashed sexuality in Hamburg was and from what I've been told is still very opened. Overall this film captured for all of us a time before The Beatles ruled the planet.
FYI
- I recently met a lady from London who had seen The Beatles perform in a night club in Liverpool while they were still wearing leather. It was awesome meeting someone who was actually there. --Bumpusmills1 01:07, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
