Bacon and eggs

- Bacon and Eggs is also the name of a production company owned by Lance Bass
Bacon and eggs is a common breakfast in many countries, mainly in the Anglosphere. It forms an important component of the full English breakfast, the Irish breakfast, and the Ulster fry, for example, and was popularised in the United States by Edward Bernays in the 1920s and 1930s. In order to promote sales of bacon, he conducted a survey of physicians and reported their recommendation that people eat hearty breakfasts. He sent the results of the survey to 5,000 physicians, along with publicity touting bacon and eggs as a hearty breakfast. [1]
The expression "bacon and eggs" is sometimes used as to be synonymous with "breakfast". Some cooking products are described as a "bacon and eggs set" even though they are meant to cook more things than just bacon and eggs. Sometimes a breakfast which is composed of other things such as tomato or sausages may be described as just "bacon and eggs".
In recent times, it is believed by many doctors and health organizations that diets high in saturated fats and cholesterol (such as bacon and eggs) are unhealthy and contribute to heart disease, however this has been disputed by low carb diet advocates such as the late Dr. Robert Atkins.
