[edit] Band History
The band started as a side project of Edward Royster of Four Sick Cats, and a long time friend of his, Paul Hedgersman, in 1999. In late 2000, when Four Sick Cats split, Edward devoted his full time to the band. In 2001 the band signed with Geffen for the release of their debut album, Backwoods Warriors. The album was released on May 21, 2002.
[edit] Split and Reformation
In early 2003, Paul and Edward decided to let the project go. Edward formed the band Blowfex and Paul went back to his day job at a lumber company. In 2005, Edward and Paul decided to start the project back up again. Edward has said he "rushed into a new project way too fast after Four Sick Cats, and after Backwoods Warriors, I really felt I had to take it slowly and try again".
[edit] Outlaw Anthems and Black Market Mantras and the Future
In 2006, the band began work on the follow up album to the 2002 debut. The album, Outlaw Anthems and Black Market Mantras was released on February 13, 2007. The album features a guest appearance from Aero singer Alex Bainer. The first single from the album was "Covering My Tracks". The band announced a nationwide tour to come in the spring.
