Back in the U.S.A.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Back in the U.S.A." is a song by Chuck Berry. It was used as a basis for The Beatles' parody song, Back in the USSR. The New York Dolls also covered this song but never official released it. The song's lyrics were supposedly written based upon Chuck returning to the USA following a trip to Australia. MC5 later entitled their second release "Back in the U.S.A." in honor of Chuck Berry. This album included a cover of "Back in the U.S.A.", which was first issued on Berry's 1962 album More Chuck Berry, and released on Chess Records.
