"Back and Forth" is the title of the debut R&B single by singer Aaliyah. The song was a major success for a new artist and spent three weeks at number-one on the US R&B chart. The song peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. R. Kelly wrote and produced the song for Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number. "Back and Forth" was also featured on Aaliyah's first greatest hits album, I Care 4 U. It was sampled by Madonna in her song Inside of Me.
