B C Joshi

General Bipin Chandra Joshi was head of the Indian Army from 1993 to 1994, when he died of a heart attack. His prior service includes raising the Rashtriya Rifles in 1990 to fight an insurgency in Kashmir, as well as serving as a staff officer with aUN peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip.
