B & B was a chain of grocery stores founded in Kalispell, Montana. The company operated their flagship store as a hypermarket. In the mid-1980s, B & B was acquired by Fred Meyer and converted into Fred Meyer stores. In 1998, when Fred Meyer acquired 2 Montana locations of Buttrey Food & Drug the company decided to keep one name in Montana; thus the Montana Fred Meyer stores were converted to Fred Meyer owned Smith's Food & Drug stores.
