The B'Day World Tour is a 2007 worldwide concert tour by American singer, songwriter, and actress Beyoncé Knowles. The tour will support Beyoncé's second album B’Day. The tour will visit Japan, Australia, Europe and North America. The first concert of the tour will be on April 10, 2007 at the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome in Tokyo.
Unusually for a major tour, Beyoncé will be backed by a 10-piece all-female band which were chosen via nationwide audition.[1] Similarly, Beyoncé held open auditions in cities in late 2006 for twenty dancers for the tour [2]; these auditions are continuing during early 2007.[3] Rehearsals for the tour began in March 2007. Knowles will also have four backing singers, all from her home town, Houston, Texas.
