[edit] Burma project

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Chris 14:06, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Now that the name of the project has been changed, is there a way to set a bot to change all the instances of the name? Chris 09:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Since you helped us create the project (thank you!) and since you seem to be the impetus for all other geographic projects, I would ask you to weigh in on something for us. Will you please pipe in at the talk page for Wikipedia:WikiProject Myanmar (Burma)/Members? We have a persistent disruptive editor that we have tried unsuccessfully to sanction, and he flaunts that we can't seem to stop him. Thanks, Chris 20:09, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New directory

Could you please take a look at my comments here when you get a chance? Thanks! Kirill Lokshin 21:52, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Directory review - WikiProject Filmmaking

Thanks for the enquiry regarding the WikiProject directory. What I can tell you is missing from this project's entry is that the project has an assessment subpage and has a rudimentary collaboration process, which I expect will be more formally organized around a subpage and collaboration templates in the coming weeks. Good luck with the directory work! Girolamo Savonarola 22:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Urban studies and planning

The urban studies and planning wikiproject is currently list under Government and politics. Whilst the subject is more legalistic than architecture, the legalities are not the core of the subject which is the design of the public realm and the control of land uses. It is a fledgling wikiproject that would be better described and benefit from being listed under the Architecture section in Culture for now. Should I make the changes or will someone else take care of it? --Mcginnly | Natter 09:26, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Middle-earth

Thanks for the note you dropped by the project page. I've commented there. I wonder if you would have time to explain why several seemingly irrelevant links were included. At least I assume they are irrelevant. It is slightly confusing! :-) Carcharoth 16:05, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Muslim scholars

Thank you for the info, it was informative and inspiring. --Striver 06:52, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Urban studies and planning wikiproject

Hi, thanks for your reply - I think it belongs with architecture in Culture Directory#Architecture. --Mcginnly | Natter 16:45, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal list

Hello, I was checking on Portals I'm involved in as the result of a message you left on a project page. I see that Portal:University and Portal:University of Texas at Austin are both listed under Geography. I am wondering if there might not be a better place for these two? Johntex\talk 23:03, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Messages on subpages

Mmm, leaving a copy of the message on all twenty-something of WP:MILHIST's task forces was probably overkill. ;-)

I wonder if there's any easy way to exclude subpages from the list you use; is that something easy to check for, or would it be more trouble than it's worth?

(Not that it really matters, of course, but it might be something to consider if you wind up doing other sets of messages to the projects in the future.) Kirill Lokshin 23:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Could very easily have been, but, not knowing the internal dynamics of the project, I wanted to make sure that they were all included. I did the same for the other projects that have official sub-groups as well. Depending on the responses from the "umbrella" groups, it would certainly be easier for me if I only had to do one for the whole group. Badbilltucker 01:00, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Project Directory

Hmm...not bad.! It's good to have all of the projects under a certain category. More people will get involved, and we will definitely make some progress. Great work! --Imdanumber1 ( Talk | contribs) 16:11, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Historical atlas

Hi B2T2,

Thanks for your recommendation. I will look at the links you send me. However, i agree with the dissatisfied experts. This means that i want to have volunteers who are prepared to read historical atlases and books before giving comments to change things. For me, a succesful project has nothing to do with the amount of members or group activity. This means that i will try to be critical on choosing volunteers. Blazko, the software programmer probably agrees with me. He was thinking about a group of historians, who would make the map. I am a historian myself, so i know that non-historians could theoretically also make good maps, but it requirs using sources instead of the immagination.--Daanschr 07:24, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Calendars

I'm actually thinking that the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Calendars page should be moved to Portal:Calendars. Wikipedia's Portal article says:

The idea of a portal is to help readers and/or editors manoeuvre their way through Wikipedia topic areas through pages similar to the Main Page. In essence, portals are useful entry-points to Wikipedia content.

That's what the page is, in a way: It points you to other Calendar pages. Comments? --Munchkinguy 04:50, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Alias

I created the project, but it certainly didn't draw much attention. Now I myself believe that the goal is too difficult to achieve and probably not worth the effort. You can do away with it if you must. My mistake. --Doppelgangland 10:53, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Project Directory entry in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Knots

The list that you posted are all redlinks. Am I missing something? Dddstone 14:11, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Your post to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Knots included a list of links to pages such as "User:Badbilltucker/Culture Directory", which are all redlinks. How do I get from WP:PROJDIR to your intended destination? Can you fix the list in your talk:WikiProject Knots entry? Dddstone 15:11, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
