B-actor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A B-actor is an actor who has appeared regularly in B-movies, including low-budget films, genre films (e.g., action or horror), and films made outside of the mainstream studio system. B-actors are generally less well-known than A-list actors; however, some movie stars who began their careers as B-movie actors later became well-known "A-list" actors, such as John Wayne, Jane Wyman, Rita Hayworth, and Humphrey Bogart. Other actors, such as Bruce Campbell, who incorporated the term into the title of his autobiography, have embraced it.
