Băiuţ is a commune in Maramureş County, Romania.

The commune of Băiut is situated on the superior level of the river Lăpuş, 80 kilometers south-east of the town Baia Mare. The commune is at a height of 600 metres. It's formed by other three villages: Baiuţ (the village), Strâmbu-Băiuţ and Poiana Botizii.
