Bø is a municipality in the county of Nordland, Norway.

The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old farm Bø (Norse Bœr), since the first church was built there. The name is identical with the word bœr m 'farm'.

The coat-of-arms is from modern times (1987). It shows a half boat. (The seaghost draugen is travelling in a half boat.)
